We have signed up as hosts of a “virtual runner” meet-up location for To Write Love On Her Arms Annual “Run for It 5k”. TWLOHA exists to spread the message of hope. They are, in their own words: “a nonprofit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire, and invest directly into treatment and recovery.”
We at Cultured Leaf believe in being a positive force in our community and surrounding areas. We are advocates for health and we know that being healthy is more than just a physical goal. Even more, we are a group of individuals. Individuals who believe in the beauty of humanity and the power of community. Individuals who have lost loved ones, who have struggled with finding the right words to say, who have heard far too many times the stories of suffering and loss associated with mental health. We each have our own story and believe every person's story is worth telling. We believe strongly in this cause and the mission of TWLOHA. As a company and as individuals we are here: to engage, to embrace, to endure.
We want to spread this message of hope to our community. On April 13th at 9am we will meet at the Charles Town Farmers Market and, together with members of our community, run/walk/jog a pre-planned 5K route.
We would love it if you would join us!
